After months of anticipation, plenty of preparation, and nothing short of pure excitement remaining, I sit four days away from my departure to Europe for the semester! Wow, where did the time go? You may be reading this journal with a curiosity of what I am encountering, where I'm going or where I've been, or maybe just to keep up with the antics of a guy like me overseas. At this point, nothing much has changed. I sit in my Waseca home on a Sunday, about to watch the Vikings in a playoff game. They're projected to lose, as far as I've heard, but we'll see what game time brings. Although my loyalty to the Vikes is clearly unquestionable, I still have a lot on my mind about the next couple of days, and more importantly, about the next four months to come. Who do I want to see before I leave? What do I want to do? What am I going to pack? My flight leaves around 11 a.m. on Thursday morning, which means I have until Wednesday night to make final (and initial) preparations. :) My expectations of everything at the moment remain in a slightly gray area... but seeing as it's the opportunity of a lifetime, I'm ready to go! I'm traveling with a sweet group of folks, and we'll all do what we can to make the best of it! This is the first update of hopefully many, so I hope you readers enjoy.

Basically, I just want to echo what Emily said. Sorry I didn't get a chance to say good-bye before you left. Have a great semester, and I'll keep myself updated in a nonstalkerish way via your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteHello BM (Not to be confused with Bowel Movement)...
ReplyDeleteAnyways... You're probably already in Amsterdam and doing some more stellar traveling before you finally make it to Spain... I'll hook myself up with a Skype account and we'll webcam it up on our wonderful Dell Inspiron computers. If you've got any questions about Valladolid or what not, just hit me up...
Good luck friend
