The Spaniards did it right when they...

… invented tapas. Nothing fits better than a little snack to accompany a drink and a good conversation, or even a game of cards. More frequently than not, they taste amazing as well!

…included taxes in all displayed prices. No dealing with any worthless oddball differences of ten cents. No guessing whether or not you’re going to be charged more, nor what amount it is. What you see is what you get (or give in this case).

…decided that siestas are beneficial to the greater good. Everyone knows that a little midday nap never hurt anyone. In fact, it may erase morning fatigue and achieve maximum performance throughout the afternoon and early evening.

…called their umbrellas “paraguas.” The literal translation is not only way cooler, but makes much more sense: water stopper. The same goes for flyswatter. “Matamoscas” translates to “fly killer.” You could classify a hand or a shoe as a flyswatter…but you’re more likely to kill a fly with a “matamoscas,” plus it sounds much more threatening. Count on me using the Spanish equivalents instead of the English words upon my return to the US.

…included manual shift transmissions is a great majority of the vehicles.

…charged only for outgoing calls and messages on phones. Why should one get charged for calls they’re not making. Realistically, you can’t help how much you’re called.
